Our 68-72 short style stinger hood is built the way a modern composite panel should be. Instead of open-mold hand lay up, we use vacuum infusion: the dry glass is laid in the mold, sealed under vacuum, and the resin is pulled through under controlled pressure. That means a consistent resin to glass ratio, far fewer voids and dry spots and panels that come out the same every time.
The result is a hood that is smooth on both sides. The show surface is ready for finish work and the underside is finished smooth as well. So it looks good with the hood up, not just closed.
We recommend a 77-82 hood support. (available as an option for an additional $125)
