Welcome to another edition of Web Wednesday! First off, we are working on replacing the weatherstrips in this 1972 Corvette.

Removed the old weatherstrips

Old screws are rusted solid to the cage nuts

Shake top to allow cage nuts to fall to access hole

Fish out old cage nuts with a magnet

Replace cage nuts with nylon nut retainer

Lightly tap nylon nuts into place

Nylon nuts installed

Cleaning rough edges left over

New weatherstrips installed!

New weatherstrips installed!

More progress made on the 1956 Corvette Resto-Mod. We have completed hanging the doors and getting the windows and regulators installed and functioning. Convertible soft top has been installed and aligned properly. Just a few finishing touches left on this vehicle and then it can finally go home to it’s happy owner.
