Welcome to this week’s edition of
First off, over the weekend Steve went to Grand Rapids to judge the SKILLS USA Michigan competition. Over the last few months Steve and Mr. Chrysler (Red) have built a strong relationship and Mr. Chrysler has kindly allowed us to “borrow” a few of his students. We would also like to give Mrs. Chrysler a big “Thank You”, she is an unsung hero by helping the students any way she can.

As you may have seen over the last few weeks, we have hired 3 of these students for part-time work to gain more experience in the field. We welcome them into the Dynamic Corvettes family. 🙂

Alright, let’s look at some Corvettes!!
This 1976 Corvette was trailer-ed to us from White Lake, Michigan. This vehicle has been sitting outdoors under a tarp for the past 15 years. The owner has decided to bring it back to life. After bringing the car into the shop, we removed about 4.5 gallons of bad fuel. Then we cleaned out the fuel tank and lines, poured in some fresh gas and it started right up. We will be going over the brakes, suspension, paint, and bumper covers in the very near future.
Still making progress with the 1965, as we left off last week with the 2nd coat of primer applied. With the body shop area hoist tied up with the 1959, the 1965 waited patiently at the paint shop while we got the 1959 ready. Now I am happy to say, the 1965 is back in the body shop area and we will be starting to block sand the 2nd coat of primer!
The 1959 has come a long way in a very short time. We have finished placing body filler and sanding. Now it will wait for it’s appointment with the paint booth to receive a coat of urethane primer!!
