1967 Corvette Convertible – “Lola”

Ed and Mark repaired the chassis for the 1967 Corvette last week. Ed cut out a section that had been repaired once before but not correctly. After cutting out section, he ground on the edges and started to fit the new section to be welded in place. Meanwhile, Mark was cutting off a #4 body mount from the passenger side that was rotted out. After removing the old mount bracket, he cleaned the surface of the frame and welded in a new bracket. Once Ed had replaced the section of frame, he welded in a new frame rail end cap and moved onto the next vehicle.

Mark continued to disassemble the rest of the body and interior so it can be paint stripped fairly soon.

1964 Corvette Convertible

Sam and Corey have been working diligently on the 1964 Corvette Convertible. They have gotten the body perfect for the first coat of primer. After rolling the vehicle into the paint booth, Corey started to mask off the areas to not be primed. While Sam completed some small detail work on the removed panels.

With the body now in primer, Sam and Corey can start block sanding the body and parts to prep it for the 2nd coat of primer.

Frames

Last week, we loaded up the trailer with all of the frames and suspension pieces to be acid dipped. This has been one of our largest loads yet! 4 frames and suspension pieces for all of them!

1969 Corvette RestoMod

Steve has been working on the 1969 Corvette RestoMod project. He has been carefully measuring everything to ensure a perfect and even fit.

1964 Corvette Coupe

Mark and Ed have started to build the chassis for the 1964 Corvette. We received the engine back from the rebuilder about a month ago. They have installed the engine, transmission, rear differential, and suspension. Fairly soon, we will transplant the body on the new chassis then roll the vehicle back in the body shop for completion of body work.
