1963 Corvette RestoMod
Things are moving nicely for the 1963 Corvette RestoMod. The owner dropped the vehicle off at General Top & Trim to have the interior custom made and installed. We work together with General Top & Trim a lot to serve our customers custom interior needs. During the weekends, the owner has picked the vehicle up and taken it home to work on in his garage. During that time, he has completely wired the vehicle and installed the Detroit Speed C2 Headlight Motor Kit, which you can see in action in the video below. The custom C5 seats are ready to be installed as well. The seats tracks have been replaced with a low profile track made by Sparco.
Meanwhile, Corey has been wet sanding the doors getting them prepared for installing the window channels and regulators. And lastly, Steve has been setting up the custom air cleaner assembly and hood to make molds and then produce some new fiberglass parts for our catalog.
Custom Fiberglass
We’ve had a surge in orders lately for our C2 wheel flares! We also received an order for our custom 1 piece 63-64 Flared Front Clip. Mark started to clean up the molds, followed by buffing and polishing. After the molds were ready, Ed set the molds up in our paint booth and applied a good coating of gel coat. Once the gel coat was solid, Tyler and Ed started to cut strips of fiberglass mat while Corey prepped the work area. After the work area was ready, they put their masks on and started to make some parts! After the resin cured and hardened, they used paint sticks to pop the new parts out of the molds and start trimming the edges.
1980 Corvette
The owner of this 1980 Corvette was ready to have it painted and came to the experts! We will be stripping and painting this vehicle in the very near future. Keep your eyes peeled for this upcoming project!
