It will not cover body removal.<br \/><br \/>Remove all necessary brackets, bumpers, body bolts etc.. to pull body from rolling chassis. After body is removed, inspect for anywhere that might need reinforced or repaired.<br \/><br \/>Rocker Channel repair pieces consist of 3 components per side. All components are sold separately through Caledonia Classic Cars. You can do one side or both depending on the repairs needed.<br \/><br \/>Support your body on a lift, jack stands or a crate. Whichever method you choose, Dynamic Corvettes is not responsible for accidents which can occur during any part of this repair procedure.&nbsp;<br \/><br \/>Any part of body removal, channel replacement etc.. should be done with a minimum of 2 persons or more. Have a fire extinguisher or water supply ready at all times. Remove carpet from kick panel area, possibly dash. We have found dash removal is not necessary if you're careful but it's always better to be safe than sorry.<br \/><br \/>Photo #1 shows number three body mount access hole. Using a torch burn out all the metal from the top down. (have water or extinguisher ready) If you are not familiar with torches have someone that is do this procedure.<br \/><br \/>After metal is removed with a torch, use a file or grinder to clean edges until you can slide your CBF020L or CBF020R into place. See photo #2, Do not weld the piece in at this time.<br \/><br \/>Not all cars need the front piece if lower pillar area is good. This procedure will be explained at this time assuming this is your next step in the rocker channel repair procedure.<br \/><br \/>As mentioned before, remove carpet and any flammable materials from the kick panel area. Have some one with water or fire extinguisher ready any time you are using a torch. Blow the metal from the top (kick panel area, see photo #3) down until you have cleaned a square hole through the rocker channel. It is not necessary to remove the door hinge bolts, doors can stay intact. Again as you did in the rear, clean edges until you can slip CBF022L or CBF022R into place. (see photo #4)<br \/><br \/>Which ever repair you are doing, front, rear or both, you need to tie repair parts together with CBF021L or CBF021R. Install your front and rear pieces first and install the long channel underneath them. Secure the long channel to your existing rocker channel with bolts. (See photo #5) Now that all your repair pieces are in place, weld the long channel (CBF021L or CBF021R) to your existing or old channel. Do not weld the channel to the end pieces (CBF020L or CBF020R) yet!!<br \/><br \/>Also it is recommended to do one side at a time. Do not do both sides at the same time!<br \/><br \/>Now that you have welded the channel(s), remove bolts holding the sleeve, mount the body back to the frame and shim your body for proper door gaps.
