Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday (aka HUMP DAY). Shown here is a gallery of the work in progress being done to a customer’s 2008 Corvette. This came into our shop with some rear end damage, and the customer requested that we update the quarter panels and rear bumper cover to the Z06 style which is a Lingenfelter design.
The paint used for this car is what they call a “Tri-Coat”. First starts with a ground coat (which is the white primer), second is a base coat which is the coat of blue metallic, third is a tint coat with a pearlescent blue tint, and finally the clear coat is applied.
As of now, these painted parts are getting their final touch ups and detailed before we install them back onto the vehicle.
